When Words Float into Silence

“Sometimes we just need someone to simply be there, not to fix anything, but to let us feel we’re supported and not alone.” — Unknown

Some days, I try to stay quiet. Speak only what’s necessary. Keep it light, keep it smooth — like trying not to stir a still pond. But the words… they slip out anyway. Because that’s who I am — expressive, full of stories, laced with emotions.

And yet, when my words don’t land — when they hover in the air, unheard, unacknowledged — something in me quietly folds in. Expectations are tricky little things. They sneak in even when you think you’ve locked the door.

I’ve tried conversations. Repetitions. Gentle nudges. But maybe not all silence is meant to be filled. Maybe, just maybe, the real work is not in being heard… but in finding peace even when you aren’t.

So, I’m building myself a little release space — a quiet corner, where I can pour my thoughts without the weight of expectation. No judgments. No need for replies. Because some days, all a heart needs is to breathe — without waiting for an echo.

Paper can hold the weight which world can’t isn’t it?
