Letting the Paper Listen

Sometimes we just need someone to simply be there – not to fix anything, but to let us feel we’re supported and not alone.” – Unknown

Some days, I try to stay quiet.

Say only what’s necessary.

Keep it light, keep it smooth — like trying

not to stir a still pond.

But the words… they slip out anyway.

Because that’s who I am — expressive, full of

stories, laced with feeling.

And when those words don’t land — when

they hover, unanswered —

something in me folds quietly.

Expectations are tricky little things.

They sneak in, even when I swear I’ve

locked the door.

I’ve tried conversations.

Repetition.

Gentle nudges.

But maybe not every silence is meant to be

filled.

Maybe the real work is not in being heard —

but in finding peace even when we aren’t.

So I’m carving out a release space.

A soft corner.

Just for my thoughts.

No replies.

No judgment.

Just breath.

Some days, a heart doesn’t need fixing —

just room to breathe.

Paper can carry what the world can’t.

Isn’t that something?

Have you built your own quiet space?

How do you let your heart breathe on the

hard days?

Feel free to share your thoughts in the

comment or journal them just for you.
